Providing Education For Your Needs
For many young people and adults, traditional schooling may not always be the best fit and finding alternative ways to study can be essential for their success. This is where Key Subject Tuition can assist.
Alternative education, in our welcoming environment, allows for a more flexible learning journey so students can receive personalised support tailored to their individual pace and needs. As an alternative to home education, we offer a programme of study on an individual basis which can include Maths, English, Digital Skills and Science for ages 11+ to ensure that young people from all backgrounds can access quality education. Learners are given the freedom to focus on areas where they may need extra support, helping them pass their GCSEs or gain Functional Skills qualifications, providing a strong foundation for academic achievement and future training and employment opportunities.
For students facing social, emotional, or mental health challenges and/or SEMH, we have a friendly and relaxed environment where emotional well-being is prioritised. We offer a safe, nurturing space for learning, a crucial element for young people who struggle with school attendance or experience emotional-based school avoidance (EBSA). In cases where mainstream schools may not be the best option, we offer a path to gaining important qualifications, like Functional Skills, in a way that accommodates the learner’s specific challenges and strengths, instead of homeschooling.
Medical tuition also provides a vital alternative for young people who cannot attend school due to health conditions, ensuring they continue to receive an education without falling behind. By working with schools and local authorities, we offer a provision dedicated to those studying outside of traditional settings, helping prevent the risk of school fines for non-attendance, which could further burden families. Finding the right educational approach is key to ensuring every young person, regardless of their circumstances, can thrive academically and access opportunities for future growth.
Our dedicated centre for learning provides access to everyone within Tyne and Wear and the North East including Newcastle, Gateshead, Jarrow, Hebburn, South Shields and Sunderland.
