What Are ESOL Courses?

ESOL Courses are for people whose first language is not English. Learners develop their reading, writing and speaking skills in the English language, as well as developing their knowledge of the language.

What Are ESOL Courses Equivalent To?

In the UK, Level 1 and Level 2 ESOL courses are very similar to a GCSE English qualification.

What Level of ESOL is Needed For British Citizenship?

A B1 ESOL Entry Level 3 qualification will be accepted for a British citizenship application.

What's The Difference Between ESL and ESOL?

ESL stands for English as a Second Language, whereas ESOL is English for Speakers of Other Languages. Those who did not learn English as their native tongue and/or did not continue to use English as a dominant language will be classed as an English language learner.

If I could give 6 stars to Claire’s tuition I certainly would!! When I got in touch with Claire, my eldest son was attending year 10 and he had a very worrying 2 in maths. Within a year his grades went up to a 4 and finishing with a 5 in his GCSE’s. Claire is now helping my youngest son who is attending year 9. In just 4 months of tutoring his grades went up from a 2 to a 4. It goes without saying that I would want her to be my son’s tutor until his GCSE exams
